Vijayawada: Continuing its strong performance, Andhra Pradesh recorded net GST collections of Rs3,061 crore in February 2026, the highest ever for the month, despite reductions in tax rates on several goods.
The State has maintained consistent growth, with net GST collections for 11 consecutive months (April–February 2025-26) surpassing those recorded in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. This reflects sustained improvement in economic activity and consumption.
Compared to February 2025, net GST collections rose by 5.45 per cent, underlining resilient revenue mobilisation even amid tax rationalisation.
Gross GST collections (excluding Cess) for February 2026 amounted to Rs3,562 crore. While overall gross collections showed a marginal decline year-on-year, the fall was limited to just 0.22 per cent when Cess is excluded, despite reduced tax rates and the withdrawal of compensation Cess on most products.
Officials highlighted that the State’s performance is notable given its relatively modest base, pointing to steady progress rather than volatility. Unlike Odisha, which witnessed a sharp decline, Andhra Pradesh maintained positive growth, indicating better compliance and effective tax administration.
Overall, the State’s GST performance reflects stable, above-average growth and improved revenue resilience, positioning it favourably both regionally and nationally.
